[...] Rhinebeck’s in one week 6 days, Mom and I will be going again this year. Let me know if your going to be there! Mom emailed me this podcast. Mom says she remembers seeing people with cameras. I don’t! All I saw was wool, all that wooly, happy, lovely yarn. Mom is wearing a yellow jacket and I’m wearing a white sweater and blue vest. I can’t wait! 6 more days!!
Loved watching the show and seeing the guy shear the sheep. Wonder how they clean the wool and get it ready to sell? Maybe you could visit someone doing that and make a podcast for us!
Thanks,
Tink

Finally I got to see at least a glimpse of what so many has blogged about and it sure looks fantastic I have never participated in anything close to the Sheep and wool festival. Makes me wan't to fly to US next fall and walk there myself.

Thanks for sharing.

I offer the pattern to the Feather and Fan Shrug to all of you
Measuring:
Using any weight yarn, swatch the Feather and Fan stitch to determine your stitches/inch. Measure your arms and across your back with your arms in front of you, wrist to wrist (mine was 60"). Multiply your stitch gauge times the measurement from wrist to wrist to determine your desired stitch width.
Main Body:
Cast on your desired width in a multiple of 18 stitches. Knit in Feather and Fan stitch for 30" or desired length. Bind off very loosely, and block.
Cuff (2):
Using double pointed needles, at side. pick up one stitch per row, and work st st in the round and decrease 2 stitches every other row for 2 inches, then k2 p2 rib for 3 inches and bind off loosely. Work other side.
