Hey Cat,

This felting episode was AWESOME. I have been wanting to try out felting but I was not sure how to go about working on a project of this type without destroying my work. It is really great to see you go through the steps from the bag being extremely large and watching it transform into a beautiful work of art.

Hi Cat, I found out about this podcast just this week and have watched them all so far. They are really good and I like the fact that they are knitting intensive. I especially liked the reports on the shows, I read about these shows on some of the Yahoo lists I am on but being as I live in the UK it is almost impossible (at the moment LOL) to attend, so it was great to have a virtual visit!

Keep up the good work.

Great information. I believe tho, technically, you are 'fulling' the knitted item whereas 'felting' is done when the wool is bonded into fabric without benefit of knitting first. The Austrian 'boiled wool' that is so popular in their jackets is machine knitted first, so there are different terms for this process. And I heartily agree about the towels. I made that mistake as well, and had white lint from towels embedded in dark green Lamb's Pride yarn which has mohair in it and was just a holy mess that was never correctable. Looking forward to Part 2.

Wow, it is awesome that you are doing this! What a fantastic idea.

Would you be interested in putting up links and info at Craftacular.com? It's a craft wiki, which means each page can be edited by the visitors. I hope it will become a central resource for crafting information.

How exciting! I am unable to use a washing machine for felting due to being in an apartment building with regular laundry mat machines. *pout* But I felt small items by hand. I do most all of my wool work by hand (cleaning raw fleece, carding, spinning, washing, knitting...etc).

Love the video cast!! Keep it up!

I am in! I am a fan! I would love if the episodes were a little longer (gluttony, my middle name). I am sure it takes time to grow, though, so I will be patient.
: )

Keep the episodes meaty. I love all the solid knitting information. And keep them well-decorated; I love that you are wearing handknits and that more handknits are peeking around on the "set."

Keep up the great work.
