lk2g-014 Yarn Harlot in NYC to Represent

In this episode of our Video Podcast, we tagged along with the Yarn Harlot Stephanie Pearl-McPhee for her visit to NY City which was the first city of her Represent Tour.

During the day we visited Central Park and were part of the Sock picture then later went to FIT to Represent with 650 knitters. We met with Stephanie, Jayme, Guido, Allena, Dawn, Donna, Margaret, Rachel, Jessica, Emily, Jennifer, Shameka, and Helen…Thanks to all!

Stephanie has begun her tour for her book Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Casts Off: The Yarn Harlot’s Guide to the Land of Knitting.

FYI: If you’re going to be at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival May 5-6 and would be interested in being in our show or just hanging out, send me an email (cat AT letsknit2gether.com)

Another great video! Thanks so much, especially for those (many) of us who were unable to get to NYC to “represent.” It looks like everyone had a grand time and I would like to thank you, once again, for giving us a bit of the vibe.

Cat, I was so excited to see the video. Once again, the “Represent” event was a really awesome experience, and you did a great job in capturing the true essence of what happened that day. I would say it was a groundbreaking day for the 600+ knitters that showed up. Thanks to people like you, who participate in podcasting and blogging, we have made this knitting thing evolve into one huge networking family. Knitting is no longer a solitary thing. I want to encourage you to keep up the good work! I have watched every podcast published, and look forward to many, many more. I feel honored that I was chosen to contribute my “two cents”. Thank You!!!

    Cat & Eric,
Thanks so much for this video – I’m so glad to have seen all of the events as I couldn’t make the trek out to NYC.

Your earlier video of the NYS Sheep and Wool festival has inspired me – I’ve booked my hotel room to go to my first WoolFest in Cumbria this year! Your tutorials on spinning couldn’t have been more timely – I plan on grabbing some roving!

    Cheers,
    Sonja

Thank you so much for going to this event, you made it possible for me to pretend that I was there. What a wonderful day for all of us! Trish at Tanglewood Fiber Creations

  9. Hi Cat! I was at Maryland Sheep & Wool and caught a glimpse of you in the Main Hall, but I was spinning on a wheel for the first time ever so I couldn’t leap up and say hello. I worked at the fleece show & sale so I didn’t have a lot of time to walk around. Can’t wait to see your show…it will be nice to see what I missed!

Hi Cat! I was also at MD Sheep and Wool on Saturday but was lucky enough to see you AND get a picture with you and your husband! It was awesome to have the chance to meet you in person, I am a fan of your site! Please keep up your inspiring and enjoyable casts!

  11. I don’t know how I missed this podcast until now- great job guys! It is so neat to see the Represent NYC event since I wasn’t able to attend!

Really nice to meet both of you at Maryland!
