Though I don't have the spare cash to donate myself (which I'd love to do, since I love your vidcast), I will put the widget on my blog. It doesn't have many readers, but heck, every little bit helps! :) Good luck with the fundraising!

It was so fun watching your part in the Sock Wars III. I'm a neutral country in this conflict, but I'm wishing you the best. I haven't figured out how the "kill" factor comes into play when socks can be in transit for such different amounts of time (depending on if they cross country boundaries and get held up in customs, etc.), and you didn't mention that the other Cat had already "killed" you, so best of luck to you. Oh and it was cool to see you using Magic Loop for your socks. I LOVE that technique for circular knitting. Fie on dpns!

Best of luck with Sock Wars!

I am loving your podcasts! And I think you've convinced me to get an electric spinner. For awhile I've been saying that I don't have space for a wheel, but seeing how you are able to sit with the spinner at your side, rather than facing it head-on like one is forced to do with a double-treadle wheel, well, I think that would definitely work for me, and the current layout in my small space. Hooray!

I was just looking for a video on how one spins with the Royal Hare Support Spindle -- thanks for sharing that! I got a chance to handle one at The Woolery a few months ago, and was amazed at how fast it spins and how well engineered it seemed, but couldn't conceptualize how to spin with it. It's so helpful to see it in action. I don't normally use a leader with my top whorl spindles, but it looks like it's pretty much mandatory with this one.

Thanks again!

Hi Cat!
Another great episode - thanks for taking us along with you on your yarn crawl in Germany.
Shopping for souvenir yarns is one of my favorite things to do with down time during business travel.
I LOVE your new hair do - it really suits you!

I heard about the podcast during 2008 MDSW. Had to go check it out - - boy did that bring back some memories. I remember you!!!!!!! I was trying to explain your shawl to someone after I came home - its so beautiful and unique.

Of course someone had to tease me about not knowing what a chakra was this year, but thats ok! I dont think they stumped me too bad this year!!!

Hi,

I found this is seeking some tips for working with ribbon. I found the advice, especially about knitting into the back of the stitch very helpful. I too loved your jacket. I would love to see the pattern.

Thanks Cat for a great tutorial video. I have been wanting to try crocheting and knitting jewelry with beads for some time and this video gave me the courage to jump in. I am posting photo's to Ravelry and my blog now to show off my first bracelet!
