In this latest episode of our knitting web video series/podcast we chat with Cecily Glowik MacDonald and Melissa LeBarre knitwear designers of the book New England Knits: Timeless Knitwear with a Modern Twist . They chat with us about how they came to put this book together and some of their favorite designs.
What’s on the set:
What am I wearing:
- In the chair: Mystic Light Shawl by Anna Dalvi in Alchemy bamboo
- During the interview: Lacy Baktus in Blue Heron Rayon Metallic
Special thanks to Jaime Guthals at Interweave Press, Cecily Glowik MacDonald and Melissa LeBarre
Thank you so much for introducing us to these nice ladies – I hope there will be more book projects of them in the future. These designs are so wearable…
I love the book New England knits. My mom wanted me to make her a hat and gloves set in the book. Interweave is coming out with some very nice books lately. My favorite right now is, Wrapped in Lace. I love all the shawls in that book. Thank you for the podcast. It was great! I hope you will do a demo one soon.
Is the cardigan that Cecily Glowik MacDonald is wearing, in the book?
I’d love to make one!
What sweet ladies! I enjoyed this interview very much. Off to subscribe at Youtube…
I loved the interview, very nice. I promptly checked their book out from the library and I want to knit almost everything in it! I might just have to add this book to my personal library 🙂
@Rebecca, I tried tracking down the sweater that Cecily was wearing, however, it wasn’t in the book.
