In this latest episode of our knitting web video series/podcast we chat with Sergio Mercado from Qiviuk. He tells us all about how they got started with luxury fibers from Peru, South America and the Artic.
You’ll see some of the rarest and most luxurious of yarns and fibers like Guanaco, Vicuna, Qiviuk and Qiviuk blends. Sergio will also tell us how he got his store start in the Plaza Hotel in New York City

Wonderful interview!
Loved the interview and those yarns are to die for!!! Cat that is a lovely red shawl you were wearing for that interview. Is it a pattern I could get? I would love to make one of those for my mother-in-law. So beautiful.
Thanks so much for what your doing and keeping us informed about the wonderful yarns that are out there.
Keep up the great job.

Cat, I love your show! Seeing that you had this new episode up made my day (especially since I won’t be able to see the live show tonight). Thanks for all you do!!
I like seeing all your celebrity interviews! When are we going to see you knitting again?
I like seeing all of your videos, especially the ones of you knitting. I miss seeing the regular videos. When will you be bringing those back?
Daisy and Julie,
We appreciate your feedback. I’m glad that you’ve been enjoying these interviews. Back in June 2010 we interviewed over 20 people and in order to make sure that the information was as timely as possible, we’ve been putting these out as quickly as we can.
Thanks so much for watching!
Cat,
What an enjoyable interview. I’ve never worked with luxurious yarns and now I can’t wait to try some. Thank you.
My favourite summer project is dishcloths. Portable, light and can be mindless or complicated, they’re perfect for the busy seasons, plus I can get ahead on Christmas gifts 🙂
I’m going to hunt down those Kollage circulars right now 🙂
Aiie, comment on wrong episode 🙂
