{"id":561,"date":"2010-04-03T17:02:59","date_gmt":"2010-04-03T17:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/letsknit2gether.com\/?p=561"},"modified":"2013-10-25T01:59:25","modified_gmt":"2013-10-25T01:59:25","slug":"lk2g-071-illusion-knitting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/letsknit2gether.com\/blog1\/2010\/04\/03\/lk2g-071-illusion-knitting\/","title":{"rendered":"lk2g-071 Illusion Knitting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pm5jUcr3ns0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In this episode of our web video series we demonstrate Illusion Knitting.\u00a0 Illusion Knitting also know as shadow knitting is a color knitting technique that uses textured stitches to create the illusion of a hidden image that can only be seen at a an angle.<\/p>\n<p>Directions for Dishcloth demonstrated:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cast on 40 stitches in the lighter color then pick up the darker color.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Row 1: Knit one row with the darker color.<br \/>\nRow 2: Using the darker color Knit 10, Purl 10 and repeat until the end .<br \/>\nRow 3: Pick up the lighter color again and Knit the right side row.<br \/>\nRow 4: Using lighter color Purl 10, Knit 10 and repeat until the end.<br \/>\nRepeat these 4 rows for 8 inches<br \/>\nWhen your cloth is around 8 inches finish off by ending with 2 rows of the lighter color.
